At T.R. Simmons Elementary in Jasper, Alabama, the lunchroom staff gives a "Class of the Week" award for lunchroom manners and behavior. "The winner is announced at lunchtime each Friday," principal Jim Clark told Education World. "The staff gives special prizes to students in the winning class." Special prizes might include an ice pop or ice cream, an extra recess, a movie, or another reward that the staff deems special and appropriate.
